What Is A Mom?

I read this article today through a link at MommyLife. How sad. It makes me thankful for my family and especially for my children! What do you think?

That is a sad article. Or course, nobody should cater to a child's every whim - that's called *spoiling*. Yes, children need to learn to entertain themselves. But, not even wanting to read your child a bedtime story? Pretty disturbing.

That woman's attitude is atrocious. I skimmed it after a certain point because it made me so sad. I wonder how often I have a bad attitude in small ways? May God purge me of THAT!

Jessica - I agree. That's a great point. How often do I allow a little bit of that attitude to invade my thoughts? More than I should. I need to repent when I feel those kinds of things. I am thankful for my husband and friends and God's GRACE when I feel small twinges of that attitude. (Especially while all of mine are small - 2 are potty trained, but when do they start wiping themselves?) :)

Why do some people have kids? Yes, days can be long and monotonous, but you can do all the kiddie activities and not be child centered. Our prayer is to be Christ centered in our home and have our focus on honoring His ways, not our own.
